Praia de Taiba

A consistent wave spot perfect for progressing your surf skills — there are rideable waves at all tides. On the eastern end of town, you’ll find Morro do Chapéu, a powerful wave spot with swells reaching 2–3 meters, ideal for advanced riders. It’s a classic stop for those who come to kitesurf Taiba, though the rocks at low tide require caution. On the western end, Taibinha delivers clean, well-formed waves and remains a favorite among local surfers and wave kiters.

Lagoa de Taiba

About 4 km northwest of town, this small freshwater lagoon is a flatwater haven. It’s shallow, sandy, and popular for freestyle training and beginners alike. It’s a great place to watch pros train, but can get crowded in high season. The lagoon has been dredged to maintain water levels and is no longer tidal. Be cautious of some submerged rocks on the northwest side.
